Mykonos

Best Times: April to October

Mykonos is the place to rent a boat in Greece and is a popular place to start your sailing trip in the Cyclades. Mykonos’ marina are easily reachable from the island’s airport or ferry port. The main marina is called Mykonos Marina, also known as “the New Port” and is in close vicinity to the Old Town.

Once you’ve checked-in and jumped on board your chartered yacht, you’ll have the chance to explore Mykonos’ many fine beaches such as Kalafatis, Platys Gialos, Psarou, Elia or Paradise Beach. But Mykonos offers much more than gorgeous beaches. Some of the must-see places in Mykonos include the old town (Chora) with its brilliantly white buildings that border the winding stone alleys and sparkling sea. Nearby Chora, you can also spot the iconic windmills that characterize the Cyclades. You should also enjoy having lunch or dinner in Little Venice in the old town. With seafront dining so close to the water you can feel the light sea mist and dine on some of the island’s freshest fish, it’s truly an experience you cannot miss. And of course, if you are traveling to Mykonos to revel on one of the world’s most famous party islands, we’ve got you covered as well.  And for a bit of culture, Mykonos also offers a Maritime Museum, Folklore Museum, and an outdoor cinema.
